The Party Jar
I was thinking recently about my fabled "party jar" which was a gallon jar formerly holding olives that I got when I worked at Fondue Stube. I would tell anyone that it was my party jar, go ahead and put money in it, because when it's full we'll have a party. Somehow the jar floated at 1/4 full for 10 years.
I thought about what happened to it, as I'm searching for a new spot to drop loose change (my Tiki mugs were the old spot, but now they're "display" items in the new living room). I remembered that I gave the jar to Teflon to help fund what turned out to be the ultimate party, our wedding.
She gave the jar to her mom, who works at a bank, to get it counted. I was like, make sure I get that jar back...and I didn't.
Turns out that the guy who was pouring it into the counter machine dropped it, cut his hand very badly & needed stiches.
What's wrong with me that I feel strangely satisfied knowing that?
That party was 3 years ago. It rocked!

After years of waiting, I finally saw a film festival movie.
And what did I see? I saw the live action Initial D movie.
I liked it alot, but weirdly enough, Teflon loved it. I already ordered the DVD & soundtrack. Eric liked it pretty good, but I think Hannah wasn't thrilled.
Needless to say, this may be the first mention of my on-going Inital D addiction. I've been meaning to write about it, but I'm busy doing something else.

My book arrived today too.
