another whiny bitch post
How is it possible to try and celebrate something with someone, where the way they are putting it together and the situation itself is such a cock-up mockery of your own beliefs and values, that you just want to say "forget it, you're making a mistake" and I do not want to be a part of it?

C'mon Big Game!
I'm having trouble feeling enthusiastic about my job. Basically for the last 6-7 months my boss has been whining and pleading on the phone about a massive break up from an evil being to anyone who will listen. Months and months of "Listen to what's happened to me..." to anyone who will listen. Against everyone's judgement and advice, they are back together, big deal. I have asked to not be involved or updated upon the situation, because it disgusts me.
Nowadays all I hear is "you need to find a way to get more money into the store". How the fuck am I supposed to do that? He micromanages to an infinate degree, and if all I hear is him on the phone lamenting about what's happening to him, why should I bother? It's not like me and my coworker haven't brought in an extra $8K via Amazon.com & PayPal sales, that can't be enough.
I don't care anymore, I'm just here to pick up a check. And if you know anything about me and my work ethic, this makes me very unhappy.
Like right now, I'm going to slowly type an invoice and watch the clock for 3 hours as it drags on.

Somantics? I'm always up for some antics...
OK, so isn't my Powerbook a PC? By definition, PC stands for Personal Computer, so doen't that make my Apple Powerbook a PC? It's mine, personal, it is a computer.
What about mp3 players? All mp3 players are not iPods. iPod is brand name. My mp3 player is an iPod, but that's another story altogether.
Walkman? Personal stereo?
Kleenex? Tissue?
Saran wrap or clear plastic film?

Amazon.com: Books: The Time Traveler's Wife (Today Show Book Club #15)

So, I met again Audrey Niffenegger, as she shops at the store, mentions the store in the book. (No, I'm not "Vaughn")
Today I asked for the picture. She said yes, as you can see.
What a very nice, approachable lady.

I get to hob-nob with the stars of literature, music, screen and stage...

I asked for the photo because Teflon was saying something about the book, which has led me to believe she is reading or just finished reading it.
Somewhere in the store is a typed manuscript, as she brought one in before the official was published, but I think it's lost.
