32meg news!
I just got an e-mail from Live365 stating that I have hit 50 total listening hours. I am sure I count as 20% of it, but still. That's a lot of listening. I'm getting a preset add every day too.
Also I came up with an idea for some promotional items and am in contact with Jason Forrest (and soon others) about making it happen! From my own out-of-pocket expense, just like this website, the radio station, and me walking around the house naked.

Magic Cards
I finally dug out my old cards to sell. I put the collection up on Craigslist 2 weeks ago for $200, got 2 guys interested, but I think I took too long in getting back to them. I dug into 2 small piles and found in selling terms @ $150 worth of cards (that's 1/3 Scrye low value) and there's another 2000+ cards in there. I don't want to go through the cards, as I'll get greedy, and try eBay again. But I mean come on, 5 Revised dual lands, 4 Goblin Kings, 2 Lord Of Atlantis', and a host of other rares in 2 handfuls, with 20 handfuls left, you're getting a deal for $200. But I need a soundcard.

Trinet Motorsports issue
So, a while back I posted about this place saying steer clear. Well, I guess the owner googled himself and my blog had #1 result (this included a personal insult).
Because I disguise my real name I got an e-mail from him basically saying, "I don't know who you are, but I am the owner and my lawyers are gonna hear about this".
Since so much time had passed, I wasn't so venomous, so I replied in a even-toned manner about who I was and what had happened. I mean, how often is it that someone threatens you with a lawyer based on a post on your weblog? I was highly entertained.
I said I'd write something about it to help negate my 1st post, so this is it:

Basically my problem was, I ordered some rotors and some Axxis brand brake pads from them. When they shipped, the pads weren't in the box. So I called and they drop shipped the pads, but they weren't Axxis pads.
This made me angry because I didn't get what I paid for and I was already an extra week without driving because they forgot to put the pads in with the rotors. I decided to just forget about it and if the pads fit the car, that's fine.
So, as I said to them, "if I had used eBay to buy from you I would have left negative feedback, but instead I used my weblog".
So in going back and forth with them, I apologized for the insult. Was informed that PBR and Axxis were the exact same things (as Tomy has Bit Char-G in Japan, but here in the states they're Microsizers) and that had to be what had happened. Because so much time had passed I hadn't saved the box, nor did I remember if the pads I received were PBR or not (but I suuspect they were) I just accepted that.
They said had I contacted them in the 1st place this would have been explained, to which I said I was done dealing with them because the pads fit I just accepted it.

So, if you google Trinet Motorsports, hopefully this post will pop up 1st instead of the original one and you can see if this company is right for you. Their prices were very competative and the rotors and brakes I got from them are still holding up.
And watch what you say about them as they have a lawyer. ;)

new weekly Reggae Night
My mom & step-dad dropped by the store yesterday with an invite to a weekly Reggae night being held. Yabba Griffiths and Traxx (she used to manage them and has ties in with the band still) have scored themselves a weekly gig for a year. My mom handed me a totally old-school invite to it and it looks like it'll be a fun time. It starts this Thursday (mom-scan the invite and I'll post it here!).
I'm hoping to be able to go this week and record it directly into my Powerbook as a prosperity thing.

You'd think with all my free time, I'd post more. But I don't.
I worked the front desk for a week last week, so I didn't have a chance to post much, as I wasn't in front of a computer (*or at least one attached to the 'net).
Last Saturday, a 'co-president' of a major record label was shopping in the store and I sold him $6K worth of records. It was a lot of work. That night Teflon and I drove to Milwaukee for a Goth night thing sponsored by the Milwaukee Goth Counsel, it was fun, but you'd think for such a small scene someone there would have at least said hello.

The above tid-bits have much better stories involved, but I don't have time to type them out right now. I will though, unless the memories fade too quickly.
