Dictionary.com/alarm
So yesterday I'm in the shower when the smoke alarm in the condo goes off. I sit and listen, start more hurriedly rinsing off, but realize that it's an alarm. Alarms should be paid attention to.
So I go running out of the shower, naked and trailing water to see what it's all about.
Nothing, no fire anywhere.
So I jump up and grab off the smoke detector and it's still squealing at me and there's no off button and so I pull out the battery with my teeth.
I go back and rinse off from the shower then have to mop the floor, making me late to work.
But it was an alarm. Alarms should be looked into at all costs.
Although the term "alarm clock" should be changed, as there's never an emergency to wake up, you're just supposed to to get on with your day, unless "call to arms" fits that, then I am wrong.
